CAC’s Mini Makers program returns for Fall 2024!

CAC is thrilled to announce that our Mini Makers program will return in Fall 2024 for another year of creativity. Mini Makers is a process art education program for students ages 3.5-5 with a mission to nurture each individual’s learning process and instill lifelong habits of creativity. Our play-based curriculum gives students the opportunity to explore and create in a safe and supportive environment, while building important skills such as idea generation, problem solving, and social skills.

Days & Times

This Fall, Mini Makers will meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings starting September 17 - December from 9:30 am - 12 pm.

Class Size & Instructors

The Mini Makers program will accept 18 students each semester between the ages of 3.5 - 5 years old (MUST BE POTTY-TRAINED). The classroom will have one bilingual (Spanish/English) lead teacher as well as 2 assistant teachers. Space is limited and students will need to apply and be accepted.

Curriculum

Mini Makers is a process art education program. Utilizing a creative Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, the students will explore exciting topics and materials each month while learning and creating in a safe and welcoming space. Students will also be introduced to dance, music and movement with help from guest teaching artists.

Classroom Environment

CAC’s Mini Makers classroom is on CAC’s third floor and includes height-adjustable tables and appropriately-sized chairs, sensory tables and a quiet corner, as well as age-appropriate books, manipulatives and toys.

Program Cost

This program is completely free through the generosity of the Kathy and Jerry Wood Foundation.
