Free Family Workshops Schedule

Our popular Free Family Workshops are back with even more opportunities to get creative as a family! These workshops will be held indoors in the Yellow Room on the third floor of our main building.

All ages are welcome, but caregivers must be present. Pre-registration through the CAC website is required and space is limited. Registration opens approximately 4 weeks prior to each workshop. Please register for each participant individually so we have an accurate headcount of participants.

Free Family Workshops are made possible by the County Executive Support Grant.

Free Family Art Workshop with Guest Artist Jainson Cedillo

Join us for a free, hands-on Family Art Workshop led by guest artist Jainson Cedillo—open to all ages and no experience needed!

Learn to draw a self-portrait using the gridding method, then get creative with a background that reflects your interests, culture, or family story using watercolor, collage, and more.

Bring a printed photo to work from, or use one of our mirrors for a live portrait.

The workshop begins with a short artist talk and will conclude with a gallery walk to celebrate each participant’s finished piece, and guests are invited to view Jainson’s artwork currently on display in the Patricia Barland Gallery as part of the "Love In Every Shade" exhibit (on view through July 31st).
