Join us at CAC to celebrate the first solo exhibition for Baltimore-based Nigerian artist VILLAGER! Formally trained as a Water Microbiologist and Environmental Researcher, VILLAGER received a B.S. in Environmental Science with a concentration in Chemistry and a minor in Chemistry from Towson University in 2020. They recently stepped away from their Master's program in Marine Estuary Environmental Science at UMBC to establish a long-lasting studio practice and develop a universal dialogue through their work. This is one incredibly talented emerging artist you will not want to miss! There will be a special reception and artist talk event on December 8th in Gallery 194.

It takes a village; VILLAGER says, "my work serves as a mirror of reflection of the manifestations of SELF, as well as a window into the world around me, so when someone can find meaning either through my work or their own interpretation of my work, I am filled with an immeasurable sense of belonging and community. It lets me know that the communication being developed is stimulating and engaging."
